Mater is entertaining enough for our 2 year old, but an older kid will probably tire of this toy quickly. Took some time to get Mater to work and we aren't even sure how the tow cable and guns are suppose to work yet. My 2 year old loves the "phone" (remote) and loves Mater so really the rest is fluff for us, but if you buy this toy expecting a lot of excitement and fun-you will most likely be disappointed. Glad I bought it on sale and with Disney Reward Points--so not out a great deal of money

Because the steering ability is so poor I could not recommend this product.

mater is always a good choice for my son. R/C, talking and special weapons are a huge plus.
