We have owned this since December 2011. Cool boat but the plastic is too brittle. LIttle pieces tend to break off, such as the hammock and the rigging / mast pieces of the boat. My son is not too rough with it but he is a three and a half year old. Sometimes if it just falls on it's side, it will do it. He does love the boat and pushes it around the floor. It's too bad it wasn't constructed of a plastic a little more sturdy, such as you would find in the little people toys.

Love this ship! I saw it at WDW and didn't buy but when I got home I was glad I found it online so I could buy it. Love all the trap doors, the stairs that flatten and the details on the ship. The figures are great; Stitch was the deciding factor in me buying this. I like how the boat and plank have places to fit into the ship, so it's all compact and can be stored together.Negatives: The front door/side panel for the ship does not stay up/closed. The ladder is pretty flimsy and seems like the edges might break off if played with too much. The goblet does not stay put and easily topples over. The flags seem like they are delicate and if played with frequently, the edges that grip the mast might break.Overall, I love the ship and set and am glad I broke down and bought it. However, if this is meant for little ones, pieces might not stand up to rough handling.

I was so excited to make this purchase until I received it in the mail. I purchased it as a chrristmas present for my boys ages 4 and 2. They were so excited to see that Mickey was a pirate but were not happy when they tried to play with it. They complained that the figures didn't fit on top or in the ship. They were too big and the ship was too small. The extra stuff that comes with it doesn't make sense. The hammock and table set are also too small for the figures. They were very frustrated with it.
