I purchased both Prince Eric dolls (the wedding suit and everyday wear). Both have been holding up wonderfully and are up to par in their play. My five year old sister loves them, and they are still in great condition after being very well loved. Both outfits are adorable and quite similar to the movie, and his face is very handsome. I would definitely recommend this doll to a friend, collector, child, or parent. Great job, Disney! :)
When I read the positive reveiw of this toy I can't help but to think that those must have been written by those parents who simply don't know any better. It is every year that new crop of pretty big little girls grew up to join the ranks those who came before them and claim their turn to love and cherish the Princess magical world. With that comes the usual kaboodle.. DVD's dolls.. and other toys. When you got your princesses finally lined up it is time to move to Prince guys and this is when parents jump internet happy to oblige.Naturally the usual choice is Disney.com. Is it best choice? It used to be but now it does not seem to be the case anymore. With every new edition of the basic 11 or 12 Inch size princess and prince come shortcuts. Each new crop of dolls seem to be priced more "friendly" and come with sells here and there but once you tak a good look at those new dolls you can't help but wonder are they really that cheap or actually quite expensive. We have few girls in our house and we tend to come back for more princesses for all sort of reasons. Watching how the design changes over the years one can't help but marvle that even couple years ago the dolls were issued as delxe edition, and they were just superb. The body, the clothing, the faces, the hair, the accessories... were just dreamy and SOOO DISNEY! Now the same dolls seem to look similar unitlly you own one, it clearly shows the difference in quality and performance. The body is cheap, skinny and the mechanism is just so inferior that dolls tend to break up so fast. The hair of princesses is way lesser quality, that tangles fast and is hard to comb. The limbs are hard to put through the slim sleeves. The outfits are cheap and fall apart after few re dressing up the dolls by a girl.I really miss the deluxe edition of the 12" dolls that we own as they last and last... both, doll and outfit. they are way pretty too.None of our classic Deluxe dolls in 12" size ever fall apart and they are just gorgeous, we can't say the same about the current ones that we keep replacing for new princesses and princes. Therefore I really don't see any savings if I have to buy the same prince 5 times. I would rather spend 50 Dollars and spare my child's dissapointment, wait and frustration. My time is also more vaulable then jsut replenishing bad toys. Luckily I found other places where I can still find the previous edition of the dolls in deluxe version and I don't intend to purchase them here as they simply fail to stand up to what they used to.
excellent choice
