I love this hat to keep their face out of the sun all year long. I liked the sparkle/sequin detail. My 4 year-olds have larger- than- average heads for their age, so I ordered the M/L, and it was big enough to allow room to grow, yet not so big as to fall off as they walk around. Covers their face nicely, yet they can still see. Material-Not too thick, not too thin.
