Love this picture. Was so excited to receive it. Only gave 4 stars because it came in a different frame. Was expecting it as pictured.

I looked at this painting for many months debating on if I should get it or not because I wasn't sure I was going to like it by the picture on the website. After reading other reviews about it looking better in person than the image online I decided to go ahead and purchase it. Of course when I got it I was happy to see that they were right, the painting is awesome in person. Well worth the money.

My Mom hails from Bath, N.C. (the state's oldest town and onetime lair of Blackbeard). This giclee reminds me of a gloomy/stormy night on the bay there - when the fog collides, then parts, and just beyond the parting, you can almost see the ghosts of ships long gone. It's a gorgeous piece - really beautiful (the online photo does not do it justice) - portions of which actually glowed under the light of my Christmas tree.
